Fireweed Meadows is the first golf course in the State of Alaska to feature new technology synthetic turf on all tee boxes, greens and fringe. After two years of research, we were convinced that the advanced technology of synthetic turf would be ideally suited to ensure great golfing in Alaska.
The turf is made from the softest yarn in the industry, along with the longest pile height for greens. Also, the unique patent pending, quartz infill and top dressing will allow a green to receive a shot from 200 yards out and the ball will not bounce, skip, or jump.
The consistency of the greens assures a player that the ball will roll true every time. The greens may be set from 7 to 15 on the Stimpmeter as desired, making these greens ideal for all types of golfers, from the beginner to the more advanced.
